The fragrance-free, natural serum strengthens sensitive skin, reduces itching and flakiness.
Twenty people with sensitive and dandruff-prone scalps tested the Oceanwell Scalp Serum daily — morning and evening — for four weeks. Their positive feedback was confirmed by an independent dermatological assessment using advanced scalp scans.
The results you can see and feel:
With the Oceanwell Scalp Serum, my skin didn’t feel as tight anymore and felt pleasantly soothed after a short time — a visible improvement!
Three out of four people found the serum more convincing than other scalp care products.
Our gentle formulation is completely free of drying alcohols, leaves no oily residue, and contains no unnecessary irritants.
Instead, the serum uses carefully selected active ingredients specifically tailored to the needs of sensitive, flaky, or tight-feeling scalps — providing noticeable calming and sustainable care.
Additional ingredients and their benefits:
Niacinamide (also known as nicotinamide) is the amide form of nicotinic acid, formerly referred to as vitamin B3. Thanks to its versatile and well-researched effects, niacinamide has become increasingly popular in cosmetic products. Niacinamide helps to reduce irritation and redness, regulates the shedding of dead skin cells, and stimulates the production of so-called ceramides in the skin, which strengthen the skin barrier. In addition, it regulates excessive sebum production without drying out the skin, making it particularly valuable for scalp care. On the one hand, hair becomes less greasy as quickly, which helps reduce excessive hair washing. On the other hand, this also counteracts the natural yeast Malassezia, which feeds on fatty acids on the scalp and produces inflammatory metabolic by-products.
Panthenol (also known as provitamin B5) is a proven and versatile active ingredient, valued especially for its soothing and skin-regenerating properties. It is an excellent humectant and, at higher concentrations, supports the healing of skin irritations and minor wounds. In hair care, panthenol also improves shine and makes hair easier to comb.
Allantoin is widely used in skincare products for sensitive or irritated skin, as well as in products with a higher irritation potential (such as disinfectants). In addition to its moisturizing properties, allantoin supports the gentle shedding and renewal of dead skin cells. It also helps to regulate inflammatory reactions by, among other mechanisms, inhibiting the production of so-called prostaglandins — inflammatory signaling molecules of the immune system.
Saccharide Isomerate is a plant-derived sugar complex that interacts with keratin in the outermost layer of the skin in a way similar to the skin’s own Natural Moisturizing Factors (NMF). It binds moisture for long-lasting hydration and thereby helps improve skin elasticity and barrier function. Clinical studies have shown that Saccharide Isomerate also acts as a prebiotic — meaning it serves as nourishment for beneficial microorganisms — helping to regulate the skin microbiome. In addition, dermatological volunteer studies demonstrated a significant reduction in dandruff after using a shampoo containing Saccharide Isomerate compared to a placebo.
This biotechnologically derived ferment from lactic acid bacteria supports the skin’s natural microbiome and helps strengthen the skin barrier. It contributes to restoring balance to the scalp, supports the skin’s natural cell renewal processes, and promotes the gentle removal of excess skin flakes.
Leuconostoc / Radish Root Ferment Filtrate is obtained through the fermentation of radish root by lactic acid bacteria. It contains naturally occurring protective peptides that help inhibit the growth of undesirable microorganisms. The ingredient supports the scalp’s microbiological balance while also providing moisturizing and soothing benefits.
Pentylene Glycol is a true all-rounder. As a skin-friendly humectant, it helps retain moisture in the scalp and improves the absorption of other active ingredients into the skin. At the same time, it supports the preservation system and naturally contributes to extending the product’s shelf life.

Apply up to one pipetteful of the serum directly onto the scalp as needed. Gently massage it in with your fingertips. For optimal results, use it in the morning and evening, for example after washing your hair. Do not rinse out.
For acute concerns like dandruff, itching, tension, or redness, we recommend applying the serum at least twice a day — morning and evening. Once your scalp has calmed down, you can reduce usage as needed. The key is to listen to what your scalp needs.
Yes. The balanced formulation works with both dry and oily dandruff. It helps moisturize dry, flaky skin while also regulating excessive sebum production, gently restoring the scalp’s natural balance.
No. The serum is very lightweight, absorbs quickly, and contains no oils or fats that could weigh the hair down. It can be used on either dry or wet scalp. If you have very fine hair, applying it to a slightly damp scalp after washing may help spread it evenly.
No. The product is fragrance-free and scent-free, making it ideal for sensitive or easily irritated scalps.
Yes. Due to its gentle, fragrance-free formulation, the serum is suitable for use on other skin areas — for example on the face or particularly sensitive parts of the body. It is also recommended as supportive care for challenging skin conditions like neurodermatitis (atopic dermatitis) or rosacea.
Yes. The serum is excellent for supportive care in sensitive skin conditions, including neurodermatitis and rosacea. Because rich, heavy products are often not well tolerated in rosacea, this lightweight, fragrance-free formula provides a gentle alternative to soothe redness and irritation. For neurodermatitis, it can be used as a moisturising base under a richer cream if needed.
For neurodermatitis, where the skin is often dry, the serum can also be ideally used as a moisturizing base underneath a richer, lipid-based skincare product — for example the Nourishing Cream from the Biomarine Cellsupport range.
Note: In cases of acute flare-ups or open skin lesions, a temporary stinging sensation may occur. In such situations, we recommend testing the product carefully on a small area first.
