As a lasting memento of your sponsorship, you will receive a certificate of sponsorship and an original hand-carved sea turtle made of beach wood. These wooden carvings, made with the greatest care, are the work of the Ivorian artist Koné. The little rascals of 8-10 cm in length are not only of high artistic quality, but also symbolically and concretely help to preserve the marine ecosystem: The entire purchase price for your personal sea turtle goes directly and completely to the CEM association in Côte d'Ivoire. With the purchase of a turtle, you directly support the protection of a 40 km long stretch of beach. The money goes 1:1 to the compensation of 16 young Ivorians who walk the arduous long distances in the deep sand at night to protect the turtles and their nests from poachers. With the purchase of a wooden turtle, you support a turtle protector for just under a month. Alternatively, tools such as torches or mobile phones are purchased to make protection effective. From a research trip to Côte d'Ivoire, our team brought back many new wooden turtles directly from the artist's workshop. Each sea turtle is unique.
